Delilah is wondering a thing or two about me. And though I hardly ever participate in these funny internet games anymore, yesterday’s quirky facts put me in a bit of a navel-gazing mood. This one’s made the rounds, so again, I’m not going to tap you on the shoulder and holler, “You’re it!” If you want to play along, please do. Meanwhile, I give you five things:
Five things found in my bag:
- a handy dandy iPhone (which is so much more than 5 things in 1)
- a wallet
- keys
- sunglasses
- Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm
Five favorite things in my room:
- my bed
- a framed tissue paper rainbow made by my son in kindergarten
- three windows that look out over the trees
- a small Lalique vase with two lovebirds in flight
- a cedar chest my father-in-law made for me by hand
Five things I have always wanted to do:
- write a book
- stop worrying
- own a sailboat
- be very skinny
- go to India
Five things I am currently into:
- writing a book
- worrying
- Roseanne Cash
- painted fingernails (sorry Jordan…I changed my mind)
- photography
And since the fifth category is to tag five people and I’m not going to do that, I’ll leave you with five lovely photos:

Your photos are gorgeous! As for the being very skinny, yes, me too! I’m coming back as a tall skinny man.

I too am a chronic worrywart, and unfortunately I have been devoting too much time and energy lately to worrying.
Love the pictures!

I liked this meme as well.
I always try and paint my nails but they get messed up within a day. So, I just focus on pedicures instead.
We both love photography. very nice.

What color?? I told you, I’ll do pink, but that’s IT for the same reason Marla stated. Those red toenails STAY red for weeks but the fingernails? Uh uh. Anyway, love that you’re branching out with the fingernails and the fun memes.

Yeah, I like the branching out bit, too. I am learning not to worry as much because I see how it is disabling Scott. I’ve spent so much time worrying and missing out.
I love reading these memes, thanks for the insight and the beautiful photos.

I had to drive to a family wake yesterday. I hated the way the car seemed to be driving on its new front tire: bumpy and lumpy.
The wake was for my dad’s sister. No amount of thought devoted to their finally saying hi again in heaven could seem to overcome the fact that my dad’s generation is almost gone and the clock is ticking on my boomerville.
My son asked if he could hear some Dan Zanes music. He started singing along to a song about the sinking of the Titanic. My mom was thrilled by his adorable voice. My wife seemed to be smirking in relief after a week long school-ish crisis.
What? Me worry? Nope.
